| Long time no update! |
[Sep. 21st, 2007|08:01 am] |
Hey ladies and germs!
Just kidding.
It's been a while since my last update. Quite a few things have been going on outside of the ISI production world.
Joe's laptop had a processor malfunction so he had to get a new computer. That slowed things down just a bit.
Troy has been putting in mega time at his real life job. It's been taking quite a bit of his time, but things are still progressing, just a little slower than before. Moving slowly is better than stopping though.
Joe has finally finished and sent off to Nik (www.picklepress.net) the colored pages of 3 keys. He's now working on NNR, a risque book also for Pickle Press.
Also Joe has put up a message board forum for In-School Ink. You can check it out at www.inschoolink.freeforums.org. Check for updates on individual ISI books and other indy news about friends of ISI.
Thanks again kiddies!
Catch ya on the flipside |

New update kiddies,
Joe Fuentes is starting a myspace for In-School Ink. Look for that to be up and running soon.
We will be having more updates going on our website soon, for those that didn't get here from there. We'll be having fan art up soon for everyone to check out.
Did you know you could submit fan art? E-mail us and send us "What You Got". Your art could be the next thing we put up.
Joe just finished greytoning the second issue of Surge for StudioNFC. You can check it out soon on www.drunkduck.com. Use the search bar when you get there and type in Surge.
Joe is still working on NNR for Pickle Press. 98 pages is a lot of inking people!
Keep an eye out for more updates. We're starting to get things rolling over here at In-School Ink. Keep it up and your comments matter to us.

| Merry Christmas from us all! |
[Dec. 21st, 2006|12:05 am] |
Ho Ho Ho all you fans and friends of In-School Ink.
As a Christmas treat to all we have some new updates on our website.
-In the Dark Redemption link we have a 5 page preview of our first, soon to be printed, book entitled, you guessed it, Dark Redemption. Take the time to check out the hard work done by artist Ash Jackson.
-Our cover is finally completed, but you won't be able to see it just yet. For now the pages, next month the cover! Take my word for it, it's Fabulous! Stuart Sayger (DC/Lego's Bionicles fame and a great artist from Indianapolis) did a great job on it and should be proud of all the hard work and multiple redo's he went through for the final product.
-Joe just finished coloring issue #2 of 3Keys for Pickle Press. Also for Pickle Press, Joe is still working on coloring a story for Mysterious Mansion and inking a 98 page book.
-Don't forget to "Leave Your Mark" on our website. We would love to hear your opinions or just give us a shout out!
That's the end of our updates for the year. Have a Merry Christmas and/or a Happy Hanukkah. We'll see you all Next Year |

| New updates |
[Oct. 18th, 2006|01:43 pm] |
Well, still don't have tons of updates yet.
- Troy just got our little website glich taken care of. that's big news, cuz I think he almost took out his computer trying to do so.
- Troy is working on the script of his first book called Jack'd Up, a story about a an ordinary man who does extra-ordinary assassinations, but have no clue how he's doing them.
- Stuart had some previous commission obligations to attend to, but has now started on the cover. We can't wait to see it.
- Joe spend the past weekend at Con-Sequential. A small convention in Memphis, Tn. Some great contacts were made and a great time was had by all.
-We are still on a Talent search for a penciler for Jack'd up. We have a few test pages out but are waiting for them to come back so we can decide who we want on them.
- Some people have asked about the book Friction that Joe wrote and good friend Leon Briones penciled. Well Joe still has the art for that book and It'll get printed but it's not slated to come out just yet. It's a story about a boy that was experimented on by his father and given electrical powers. Will he be a great hero of the city or will teenage rebellionism turn him into a villian to be reckoned with?! Only Joe knows!
- Happy belated Birthday to Joe as his birthday was on the 8th,some 2 weeks ago.
- Other than working on lettering Dark Redemption, Joe is currently working on colors for a fantasy/comedy book for Nik Havert as well as inks for his erotic/action book that Joe only refers to as NNR. For more information and samples of his inking and coloring goods visit www.picklepress.net
That's about it for now. More will be updated more often now that things are flowing along.
Keep tuned here folk's! |

[Oct. 2nd, 2006|03:43 pm] |
Hey everyone. This is the online blog for In-School Ink. An Independent Small Press comic book company ran by me, Joe Fuentes and Troy Amones.
Our first book coming out is a dark western called Dark Redemption.
Keep looking here every now and again for updates on our progress.
With that said, lets make with the update:
We have Issue one lettered and the Very talented Stuart Sayger is working on the cover as we speak.
I know it's not too new an update, but update none the less.
More to come
